Billing ClerkClearview Cancer Institute is north Alabama's leading cancer treatment facility. Clearview offers every service and amenity needed in an outpatient setting and our dedication to research and involvement in Phase I-IV clinical trials gives our patients the opportunity to receive potentially life-saving treatment options.The purpose of the Billing Clerk is to assist the billing office in day to day activities in a rapidly growing Oncology Practice.Duties include:Opening and sorting mailDistributing correspondence to other departmentsCreating check batches for processing and printingWorking in Excel and spreadsheetsPulling and working credit card reports for daily processingScanning/filing of patient informationBasic computer skills for payment portalsOther duties as assignedOther program highlights:Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writingMust have excellent organizational skillsAbility to work independently in an office settingEducation/Experience:High school diploma or equivalentWorking conditions:This position works in the billing office of a busy medical oncology/hematology clinic.Physical requirements:This position requires that the employee be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for up to 8 hours a day. Some walking and standing will be required when completing certain tasks.Direct reports:This position is not a supervisory position.
