Job description

Job TitleWith general supervision of the Operations Director, this position will collaborate with personnel to ensure the quality assurance needs of the agency are accomplished and that invoicing is processed in a timely manner. Oversees the records retention aspects related to service provision and manages record requests in a timely manner. All Community Connections employees are expected to contribute to the professional reputation of the agency through understanding and promoting the organization's mission and core values in all aspects of services.Duties & Essential Job FunctionsEnters and tracks billing information in electronic format to include service authorizations, customer demographic and payment information, payer information, and service notes, among others, ensuring the information is entered timely and accurately; Supports the Senior & Disabilities Services program in monitoring utilization for clients; Monitors, researches, and resolves billing denials and discrepancies for claims including holds, corrections, missing notes, among others; Ensures customer file maintenance, in both electronic and hard copy, is complete and accurately maintained; Provides information and support to expedite necessary corrections to service notes; Creates and distributes invoices for private pay services on a monthly basis and follows up with denials related to private pay customers; Performs invoicing and exporting processes for Seniors and Veteran Services and IDD claims on a timely basis after claims have been reviewed and issues resolved; Processes Credit Card Payments as needed; Under the direction of the PR Manager, assists with agency-wide organization of timesheet submission and input into the accounting system; Performs other special projects and supports for administration as assigned.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesSkilled in computer applications related to the work, including but not limited to databases, spreadsheets, electronic billing and accounting systems, and word processing programs; Skilled in records management principles and practices; Skilled in performing data entry at an intermediate level; Ability to develop expertise regarding all applicable regulatory guidance governing service delivery (Medicaid, private insurance, HCPCs, HIPAA, CARF, etc); Ability to maintain a high standard of work even under pressure of deadlines and frequent interruptions, remaining professional, responsive and cooperative; Ability to utilize initiative and leadership, organize own work, coordinate projects, set priorities, meet deadlines and following up on assignments with a minimum of direction; Ability to perform basic research and prepare reports and recommendations; Ability to apply strong problem-solving skills to identify unique situations that would require the attention of management; Ability to interpret and implement policies and procedures; Ability to organize, evaluate, and present information effectively, both orally and in writing, within a prescribed time frame; Ability to be extremely detailed oriented and have a keen eye for quality checking of documentation and accurate filing of paperwork; Ability to work with diverse populations; Ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate with peers; Ability to be friendly and outgoing, with a notably positive attitude.Required QualificationsMinimum of three years' experience performing progressively advanced administrative job duties in billing for a social service or medical-related business. Equivalent education may be substituted. Must be able to pass a criminal background check under agency guidelines and state regulations.PreferredExperience and knowledge in Medicaid and Private Pay Billing from a systems and user perspective within an Electronic Health Records environment.Physical Requirements/Work EnvironmentPosition is office based and generally sedentary in nature.
