Billing SpecialistHelp Ensure Financial Accuracy While Making a Difference in Senior LivingAt Lifespace Communities, we're more than a senior living organization, we're a mission-driven team dedicated to helping older adults live with purpose, dignity, and independence. We're looking for a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our community team and play a vital role in supporting residents, families, and operations through accurate billing and exceptional customer service.If you have skilled nursing billing experience, enjoy solving problems, and take pride in accuracy, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoAs our Billing Specialist, you'll oversee resident billing and accounts receivable for an assigned community while serving as a trusted resource for residents, families, and team members.Key responsibilities include:Manage all resident private pay billing and accounts receivable activities.Generate, review, and distribute monthly resident statements.Post invoices, charges, payments, and billing adjustments accurately.Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on delinquent accounts in accordance with company policies.Participate in Accounts Receivable review meetings and recommend collection actions when appropriate.Prepare accounts for collection agency submission when necessary.Verify insurance coverage and complete pre-authorizations for admissions.Maintain accurate census information, including resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.Ensure move-in documentation is complete and properly maintained.What We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalent.Skilled nursing billing experience is required.Strong understanding of accounts receivable and private pay billing processes.Proficiency with computer systems and billing software.Previous experience in senior living, long-term care, or healthcare billing.Why You'll Love Working HereAt Lifespace Communities, you'll join a collaborative team where your work directly supports residents and the financial health of the community.
