Billing SpecialistLocation: Seattle, WA Division: Air & Sea USJob Posting Title: Billing Specialist - Time Type: Full TimeSummary: As a Billing Specialist at DSV, you will carry out the day-to-day billing process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and procedures. Your role involves processing billing audits, resolving standard billing issues, and supporting the billing team.Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure accuracy and completeness of billing data, including rates, charges, and contract terms.Review billing data and reports to identify discrepancies and support process improvement.Conduct regular checks to validate billing accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements.Maintain billing systems, ensuring data integrity and accurate records.Serve as a point of contact for routine billing inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, escalating complex matters as needed.Communicate billing policies, procedures, and requirements to customers and internal teams as needed.Investigate and resolve standard billing issues, discrepancies, and disputes in a timely and efficient manner.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and global key account managers, to address billing-related matters.Support efforts to streamline billing processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.Apply established best practices and standards for billing operations to maintain accuracy and effectiveness.Prepare regular billing reports and metrics for management review.Educational background / Work experience:Bachelor's degree is preferred in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.Additional certifications in billing or accounting are advantageous.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in billing or accounts receivable roles.Skills & Competencies:Solid understanding of billing principles, practices, and procedures.Proficiency in billing systems and software.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Language skills: Must be able to read, write, and speak English and the local country language.At Will Employment: DSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as "at will" employees. This means that an employee may be terminated for any reason, or no reason at all, at any time, provided the discharge does not violate any law*. Additionally, each employee has the right to terminate his/her employment at any time. *Except if employed in Montana, where termination requires just cause.The expected base pay range is $24.60 - $30.75 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.DSV offers a comprehensive benefits program designed to support the health and well-being of employees and their families.
