Billing SpecialistAPS has partnered with a family-owned construction company seeking a detail-oriented, deadline-driven Billing Specialist. This role is critical in ensuring accurate project billings, timely vendor payments, and smooth financial coordination between project managers, subcontractors, and leadership. The ideal candidate has experience in construction billing and thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects. Pay Rate: $26-$32/hr Location: Modesto, CA Schedule: M-F, 8am to 5pmRequirements of the Billing Specialist:3+ years of experience in accountingConstruction accounting experience preferredExperience with QuickBooks and MS OfficeHigh attention to detail, accuracy, and organizationAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentResponsibilities of the Billing Specialist:Prepare and submit monthly progress billingsTrack billing deadlines and ensure submissions are complete, accurate, and submitted on timeReview contract terms to ensure compliance with billing requirements, retention, lien releases, and supporting documentationReconcile billed vs. paid amounts; follow up on outstanding payments and resolve discrepanciesAssist with preliminary notices, unconditional/conditional lien waivers, and compliance documentsSupport month-end closing tasks including aging reports and billing logs
