Customs Billing Specialist | Leading Logistics & Customs Brokerage Firm
We’re looking for a Customs Billing Specialist to join a fast-paced logistics and customs brokerage team. If you have strong attention to detail, data entry, billing, or customer service experience, this is a great opportunity to build your career in customs operations and financial processing.
What You’ll Do:
Process daily customs brokerage invoices accurately and on time
Review billing information, rates, charge codes, and customer requirements
Validate customs entry data and supporting documentation before invoice release
Prepare and distribute customer invoice packets and compliance documents
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, invoice errors, and workflow exceptions
Manage daily exception queues and prioritize aging or high-impact requests
Monitor EDI billing transmissions and coordinate with technical teams to resolve issues
Collaborate with customers, operations, branch offices, and internal support teams
Maintain Excel reports, tracking logs, workflow metrics, and reconciliation records
Support month-end billing activities and identify opportunities for process improvement
What You Bring:
High School Diploma or GED
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
Strong typing and 10-key data entry skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Customer-focused, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively
Location: Rolling Meadows, IL (Hybrid/Onsite - Depending on business needs)
Pay: $17 – $19 per hour
