Billing SpecialistThe Billing Specialist will prepare all accounts receivable invoices and support purchasing and accounts payable processes/departments.Essential FunctionsInvoicing of freight and other servicesBi-Weekly Storage invoicingMonthly special charges for millsRejected Material/ Returned Pallets/ Scrap for other Delaco divisionsBilling all mills for Rejected MaterialLine Charges and Storage ChargesReconcile Bill of Lading from various types of services with Purchase Orders to Accounts Payable InvoicingScanning invoicing and other information over to Corporate Headquarters and Customers for paymentFilingSupply OrderingDealing with VendorsRequirementsQualificationsRequired Education and ExperiencePreferred Degree in accounting, business administration, or related fieldThree (3) years of billing experienceThree (3) years of Accounts Receivable or general accounting experience. Public Accounting is preferredProficient in the Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent computer and software skillsCustomer service skills, attention to detailStrong communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listeningExcellent customer service skills to clarify billing disputes or payment processesBasic math and accounting skills to document financial recordsDiscretion when handling customer dataProficiency in using bookkeeping software to process paymentsSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position does not have supervisory responsibilities.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Physical DemandsThe employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.
