Bindery Operator 3Full-time positions available. Previous experience in Navy MOS: LI:Lithographer, Marine MOS: 4615:Combat Lithographer, or Army MOS: 83F:Printing and Bindery Specialist is preferred. With 22,000 clients, including 93% of the Fortune 100, and 32,000 employees across 28 countries, RRD brings the expertise, execution, and scale designed to transform customer touchpoints into meaningful moments of impact.Job DescriptionResponsibilities include:Setting up, adjusting, and operating a variety of auxiliary binding machinesInspecting equipment for safety issuesOperating automatic adhesive binding machines (perfect binders) that contain numerous interrelated process stationsMaking needed adjustments to coordinate the multiple work stations on a single machineDirecting crew through all aspects of productionMonitoring quality, output, and productivityQualificationsQualifications include:Thorough knowledge of the set up, adjustment, procedures, capabilities, and limitations of equipment to perform the full range of standard and specialized binding, folding, collating, and cutting of printed materials to complete a finished productComprehensive knowledge of machinability of different paper weights, sizes, kinds, and colors so as to be able to identify paper conditionsAbility to use the full range of standard and specialized tools and devices to adjust and maintain the functional accuracy and operating conditions of the bindery machinesSkill in making difficult adjustments to powered machines using hand tools as well as more specialized hand toolsSkill in operating complicated bindery equipment such as folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, binding/gluing machinesAbility to read and interpret written work which indicates the number and sequence of machine operations required to complete the work and maintain dimensional accuracy in accordance with instructions providedOther duties as assignedTrain, communicate with other employeesAdditional InformationFirst shift 6AM - 6PM rotating (front and back half)The pay range for this role at the noted location is $26.25 to $28.65 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include (a sign-on bonus of $X,XXX), overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
