We're looking for people who can set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and operate production equipment while maintaining quality and productivity.Equipment & ResponsibilitiesDepending on your experience, you may set up and operate equipment including:Guillotine/Paper CuttersFoldersSaddle StitchersPerfect BindersCollatorsBooklet MakersDrills and PunchesLaminatorsUV CoatersCreasing and Scoring EquipmentDie Cutting EquipmentShrink Wrapping and Packaging EquipmentOther automated bindery and finishing machineryTypical responsibilities include:Completing equipment setups and changeoversReading job tickets and understanding finishing specificationsSetting cutters, folders, stitchers, binders, and related equipmentChecking folds, trim, pagination, stitching, binding, and overall qualityMaking adjustments during productionTroubleshooting mechanical and production issuesMaintaining production speeds while minimizing wastePerforming routine operator and preventative maintenanceCompleting required production and quality documentationMaintaining a clean, organized, and safe work areaWorking closely with Press, Digital, Mailing, Shipping, and Production teamsExperience We're Looking ForCandidates should have 1–2+ years of commercial printing bindery or finishing experience and hands-on experience operating multiple pieces of production equipment.Experience with equipment from manufacturers such as Polar | MBO | Stahl | Heidelberg | Muller Martini | Horizon | Standard | Duplo | Challenge | Wohlenberg | Perfecta | Similar Commercial Bindery Equipment.You do not need experience with every machine listed.We're particularly interested in people who have become the versatile person in the bindery—the operator who can move from one machine to another, handle setups, solve problems, and help keep production moving.Know Bindery but Want to Learn More?The company is willing to invest in good people.If you're strong on two or three pieces of bindery equipment and want to become a more well-rounded technician, paid cross-training is available.Experienced Bindery Assistants who have been helping with setups and are ready to operate equipment independently are also encouraged to apply.The company is additionally interested in experienced Lead Bindery Operators, Bindery Leads, Finishing Leads, and Bindery/Finishing Supervisors who may be ready for their next opportunity.As the operation expands, strong performers will have opportunities to move into Lead, Supervisor, and other production leadership positions.If you're an experienced commercial printing bindery professional looking for better pay, modern equipment, excellent benefits, paid training, overtime, and a company where you can continue to learn and advance, we'd like to hear from you.
