Job description
Bindery Utility OperatorThe Bindery Utility Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining bindery equipment to produce high-quality finished printed materials. This role ensures jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with customer specifications and company standards.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate bindery equipment such as cutters, folders, stitchers, collators, and binding machinesRead and interpret job tickets to ensure accurate production specificationsPerform machine adjustments and troubleshooting to maintain quality and efficiencyMonitor machine performance and output to meet production and quality targetsInspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standardsPackage completed jobs according to instructionsPerform routine maintenance and keep equipment clean and in good working orderMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaFollow all company safety policies and proceduresAssist with material handling and other production tasks as neededRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred1–3 years bindery or similar equipment experienceAbility to independently set up and run at least one machine typeMechanical aptitude requiredAbility to read job instructions and follow directions accuratelyStrong attention to detail and qualityPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 40–50 lbs regularlyFrequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movementsWorking EnvironmentFast-paced manufacturing/production environmentExposure to noise, moving machinery, and paper dustBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision, 401K with company match, and other voluntary benefits offeredEEO StatementWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and value diversity in our workforce.
