Binding Production Underwriter
Job Summary
Seeking dynamic and entrepreneurial professionals to join a team as Binding Production Underwriters specializing in either Commercial Lines or Personal Lines. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and expand a book of business by underwriting new accounts and fostering strong client relationships to drive renewal business.
Compensation Package
Competitive salary range: $100,000 - $200,000 annually
Performance-based bonus opportunities.
Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and grow a profitable book of business.
Manage agency relationships and act as the primary client contact.
Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive new and renewal business.
Rate, quote, and bind risks, determining acceptability, coverage, and pricing for both new and renewal accounts.
Submit underwriting referrals to company brokerage facilities and management.
Monitor key performance metrics and implement corrective actions to optimize new business acquisition, renewal retention, premium growth, and loss ratios.
Lead, train, and mentor Assistant and Associate Underwriters.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 3 years of commercial lines underwriting or brokerage experience (excess & surplus experience preferred).
Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
Insurance license, CPCU, CIC, or comparable designations preferred.
