Sustainability AssociateBlackstone has a deep commitment to Sustainability and is seeking to recruit a Sustainability Associate for its BXCI business. The position is located in New York.The Sustainability Associate will be an integral member of the Blackstone Credit & Insurance (BXCI) Value Creation and Sustainability Team and will help drive sustainability initiatives across BXCI. The Associate will interface with senior members of BXCI and other areas of the firm. This individual will lead efforts around sustainability data, analysis, presentation, and reporting. Assisting in the monitoring of sustainability risk across portfolios including transaction due diligence research and broader industry trends. The Sustainability Associate will report to BXCI's Global Head of Value Creation and Sustainability in the Office of the CIO.Responsibilities will include:Providing sustainability research support to the BXCI investment teams who are integrating sustainability-related risk evaluation as part of the investment processSupport marketing and reporting templates and business requirements for external facing sustainability reporting deliverables, including Article 8 reportingWorking collaboratively to create and maintain sustainability presentation materials, investor reporting, and other communications for key stakeholdersCollaborate with colleagues in institutional client solutions and the Global Sustainability team to provide solutions for investor requests for sustainability data, reporting and responses to due diligence questionsPrepare and conduct engagement with BXCI portfolio companies on material sustainability topics such as decarbonizationLiaise with external sustainability vendors on various workstreamsCoordinate with the BXCI Value Creation and Asset Management teams on focus sponsors and borrowersQualifications:2+ years of work experience in Banking, Research, Consulting, Finance, or Sustainability; credit experience is a plusSignificant interest in the sustainability space; relevant work experience and/or academic degree a plusSuperior verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and quantitative skillsProficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and ExcelHighly organized and detail-orientedRobust work ethic and positive attitudeDesire to work in a team environmentDemonstrated experience managing projects independently and to completionExcellence demonstrated in prior endeavorsExpected annual base salary range: $120,000 - $150,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables. Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses.
