Blender Operator - Preblend - 2nd ShiftBlender Operator - 2nd shiftReport to the production floor in a timely manner for shift start and dress in the proper PPE (personal protective equipment)Meet with 1st shift Blender Operator to discuss issues that need to be addressed or any updatesReview and verify blend sheets and check all meat and spices against written formulaVerify meat weight and typeFollow blending procedures as outlined in production formulationDocument all process and productivity informationEnter information on the MES system and report any problemsWhen wash downs are required perform lockout/tagout and complete wash down of blender and make the next blend in a timely mannerStop production line as needed to seek immediate attention to correct any problemsKeep area clean, sanitary, and follow safety work practices such as and GMP'sAssist team in dismantling and assembling equipmentMeet with the supervisor at the end of the dayBe willing to be cross trained within department to cover responsibilities if requiredOther duties as assignedRequirements:To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorilyAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos in EnglishMust have basic mathematical skillsCapable of regularly lifting and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 75 lbs.Ability to work on production floor; a wet, cold, and loud environmentPrevious food manufacturing experience a plusCompany Overview Kayem Foods is a family owned and operated craft meat business that has been making New England's favorite franks, sausages, and prepared meats in Chelsea, Mass. since its founding by Kaz Monkiewicz back in 1909. An employee's rate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued wage growth. This position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package and is eligible for an annual wage review. Kayem Foods complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
