Blood Bank Technologist Weekend Shift Tucson, AZ 85719
Full-Time Permanent Position 12-Hour Weekend Shifts
Schedule: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
We are seeking an experienced Blood Bank Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist for a permanent weekend opportunity with a specialized blood bank laboratory in Tucson, Arizona.
This position offers 12-hour weekend shifts from 7:00 AM 7:00 PM , making it an excellent opportunity for a blood bank professional who prefers a concentrated weekend schedule.
Responsibilities Perform specialized blood bank and immunohematology testing
Perform antibody screening and identification
Conduct compatibility and pre-transfusion testing
Investigate complex antibodies and serologic discrepancies
Follow established laboratory procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate testing records and documentation
Perform quality control procedures
Work closely with other experienced blood bank professionals
Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
MLS(ASCP), MT(ASCP), or equivalent certification
Previous blood bank experience strongly preferred
Strong immunohematology and transfusion medicine knowledge
Ability to work 12-hour weekend shifts from 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
