Blow Mold Machine OperatorCurrent Available Shifts: Wednesday - Saturday | 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM Our dairy operates on a rotating 4/3 schedule, meaning employees work four days one week and three days the next, with every other Wednesday off.Summary: The Blow Mold Machine Operator operates the blow-mold machine by, among other duties, changing codes, changing and hooking up tanks and completing record-keeping paperwork. (S)he is responsible for Dye and weight checks, cleaning the machine when needed and following our company's Good Manufacturing Practices. Follow all required work safe practices. This would include compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.Essential Duties:Run blow mold machine and all related equipmentSanitize machines at correct intervalsUse a pallet jack to move pallets of cartons into the plantKeep all related equipment running smoothly (i.e. caser, overhead case pusher, stacker)Taste test all product (which is milk-based) that is ranKeep surrounding area clean and inspection readyResponsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated areaReport any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediatelyEnsure all required information is documented in accordance with SOPsFollow Quality Assurance standards and collect required samples, as needed, for Quality Assurance testingEnsure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required informationFollow all required work safe practices. This would include compliance of Good Manufacturing Practices, wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.Regular and reliable attendanceOther duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or GED preferred6+ months experience in dairy, manufacturing or another related field preferredAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Ability to communicate when necessary to complete dutiesAble to work in a cold and wet environment for prolonged periods of time.Must be able to work in various temperature-controlled zones ranging from cold to hotDemonstrates a mechanical aptitude and can work and maneuver in tight and awkward areas and positions.Ability to operate equipment at recommended speeds and communicate mechanical and operational defects as they arise.Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidaysMust be able to frequently reach up to 31-77 inches.Physical Demands:Regularly stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, or crawlAbility to reach and handle objects, tools, or controlsOccasionally sit and occasionally climb ladders or work on a platformRegularly lift and/or move up to 50 poundsCorporate Summary: At Shamrock Foods Company, people come first – our associates, our customers, and the families we serve across the nation.
