Additional $2.00 per hour worked between 12:00am-4:59am)Job Description:Control wastewater treatment systems to ensure the effluent water to the industrial ponds are within the defined limits.Control sludge de-watering equipment to ensure maximum separation of solids and water.Interpret samples drawn from DAF cells, solids tank, effluent water, centrifuge and belt presses and make adjustments to chemical feed and process systems to produce desired results.Enter collected data into the computer.Accurately record inventory of DAF chemicals on a rotation basisTruck spot sludge truck periodicallyHelp maintain and improve quality and food safety, to ensure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements.General cleaning and/or assisting other crews if requiredMaintain safety, housekeeping and sanitation and disease control requirements while performing job dutiesOther duties as assignedQualifications:Six (6) months of experience in the operation of wastewater treatment plant solids de-watering equipment, preferredMust have knowledge of hazardous chemical handling, to include experience in and knowledge of the use of chemicals in the treatment of industrial wastewater.Must be able to use hand and power tools (such as grinder, drill, etc.)Must have good written and oral English communications skillsMust have a demonstrated work history of dependability, particularly with regard to safety and attendanceMust be able to work rotating shifts & weekendsMust be able to pass written testsMust have clean DMV record and valid California driver's license; must maintain a clean driving recordMust be able to work with minimal supervisionMust possess a high school diploma or equivalentMust be trained in lock-out tag-out and safe work practicesMust be able to bend, stoop walk and stand for prolonged periods of timeMust be able to climb and work from ladders and in confined spaces safelyMust be able to work from high altitudes, catwalks and roofsMust be able to lift over 50 poundsMust be able to work on wet concrete floorsMust be able to work overtime, weekends and times dictated by production equipment requirements/needsMust be able to submit and pass a criminal background checkFoster Farms ACTION Guiding Principles:Accountability: Deliver on commitments.Collaboration: Achieve more by working as a team.Truth-Seeking: Be open-minded and act with humility.Initiative: Be proactive and lead with a growth mindset.Ownership: Take responsibility for results.Nimble: Operate with speed and agility.Why Join Foster Farms?This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the future of the ready-to-eat business at a leading food company, directly supporting our mission, vision, and values.
