Job description
Lamination TechThe Lamination Tech removes all air from wet glass using a brush and/or roller. Applies layers of wet glass in many different applications. Installs different parts prior to glass work.Essential Functions:Performs pattern cutting and rolling fiberglass.Properly uses resin and putty.Installs boxes, foam tanks and stringersGrinds out small imperfectionsPerforms general housekeeping.All other duties as assignedExperience/Qualifications:Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or EquivalentKnowledge, Skills, and Ability:Ability to work with a teamAble to use drills and hand sanderAble to follow instructionsTravel Requirements:N/APhysical Requirements:Light lifting, under 20 lbs.Light carrying, under 20 lbs.Moderate lifting, 21-59 lbs.Moderate carrying, 21 – 59 lbs.Straight pullingPushingRepeated bendingReaching over shouldersUse of fingersWalkingStandingKneelingRepeated stretchingSpecific visual requirementsAbility to distinguish basic colorsAbility to distinguish shades of colorHearing (aid permitted)Work Environment:Outside and insideExtreme heatExtreme humidityExtreme noise, intermittentDustFumes, smoke, or gassesSolvents (degreasing agents)Slippery or uneven walking surfacesIndependent Judgement:Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation.
