This is a critical role in that the operator will build the body from a multitude of different components relying more on hand skills and less on machines.Essential FunctionsLearn and execute standard operating proceduresRequired to apply and remove dozens of clamps in a single shiftAble to safely operate band saws, timesaver sanders, routers, and pneumatic press95% pass rate based on production requirementsUnderstands and meets quality standards (Specs.)Maintains product flow at appropriate rateAdheres to department protocols (5S and Safety)Adherence to the Gibson Cardinal Safety Rules as per the Gibson Playbook for Cardinal Safety Rules and General Safety RulesObligation to submit Safety observations for identified hazards using the safety observation QR codeSupport the comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure a safe work environment, maintain compliance with regulations, and improvement of our safety processesOther duties as assigned.Required Skills/AbilitiesDevelop a strong understanding of the modelsStrong attention to detailDevelop a strong understanding of the models and machine programsStrong attention to detail.Required Education and ExperienceExperience with using hand tools to deliver precise results requiredMust be 18 years of age or older.Essential KnowledgeExcellent written and oral communication skillsSolutions oriented approach to challenges/issuesOutstanding time management skillset with the ability to prioritize without direct supervisionTeam work and project management skills combined with ability to work as part of a teamPersonal QualitiesPassionate about working and winning in a team environment.Results oriented and driven, with a track record for delivering to planFlexibility to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
