Job description
Mark Porter Auto Group is seeking a skilled Body Shop Technician to join our team in Ashland, KY. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality collision repair work, restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition using your expertise in bodywork, painting, and frame straightening. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and dedication to safety and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
Inspect damaged vehicles to assess repair needs and develop repair plans
Perform body repairs including panel replacement, dent removal, welding, and frame straightening
Ensure all repairs meet company and industry quality and safety standards
Collaborate with technicians, estimators, and other team members to deliver excellent customer service
Maintain a clean and organized workspace and follow all safety procedures
Requirements
Proven experience as a Body Shop Technician or in collision repair
Strong knowledge of automotive body repair techniques and tools
Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and technical documents
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Valid driver's license and ability to lift heavy parts as needed
