Job TitlePosition at JBS USAScope of Position:This position is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the ammonia refrigeration system, boiler, and compressed air maintenance tasks as needed. This position also is responsible for preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on all equipment as needed.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain and complete work orders and preventive maintenance paperwork in a timely mannerMaintain a logbook of all breakdowns and corrective actions takenSchedule shutdowns of equipment and machinery for repairs and maintenance without disrupting productionMaintains, repairs, rebuilds and adjusts ammonia refrigeration, and equipment in areas of responsibility by analyzing, calibrating, replacing, repairing or rebuilding all equipment and machinery within established guidelinesMust be able to safely isolate and pump down any section of all systems.Must be qualified to do routine maintenance on: Ammonia Compressors, Air Compressors, Boilers, Evaporator units, pumps, motors, etc….Utilize time effectively to best minimize equipment downtime and repairsBe safety-minded and follow lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures for all equipment that is being worked onBe a team player and not afraid to ask for guidance or help when neededBe on call when needed and able to work alone if the situation calls for itReceive and follow training on LOTO, fall protection, confined space, hot work, and any other training deemed necessary to perform the job safely and effectivelyOrder materials and parts as needed for stock or repairs of equipmentMaintain all engine rooms, compressor rooms and roof areas in a high state of cleanliness always.Work with several outside vendors and technicians in a professional mannerAssist maintenance technicians with mechanical troubleshooting and repairs as needed or as directed by maintenance leadershipFollow/Implement OSHA PSM Standard PSM/RMP programReports directly to B&R Maintenance ManagerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job. May perform other duties as assigned.Capabilities/Qualifications:High School diploma or GED and 2+ years of Maintenance, Maintenance Supervision or Process/Project Management experience requiredMust be a member of the Hazardous Materials Team ( HAZMAT) and SCBA certified.At least two years in a refrigeration or boiler room preferred.Operator 1 and Operator 2 preferred.Strong working knowledge of industrial maintenance and electrical functionsAble to learn and follow directions from management and team leadersAble to follow and implement safety rulesAble to read and write in EnglishProficient with time and prioritizing workAble to use a computer for the functions of the engine room and emailProficient with MS Word, Excel, and OutlookGood planning and priority setting skillsBe Safety MindedMay be required to work long hours and weekendsPhysical Demands/Work Environment:Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle/feel items, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk or hear.Office and plant setting: the plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold (non-weather related), and working near moving mechanical partsNoise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.Compensation and Benefits:Benefits : Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment.Paid Time of f: sick leave, vacation and 6 company observed holidays.401(k) : company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting scheduleBase salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 depending on scheduling levelIncentive pays this position is eligible to participate in the Company's annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive programThis position does not have an application deadline.
