BookkeeperSalary Range $18.00 - $20.00 Hourly Job Shift Day Education Level High School Category AccountingThe person in this position will be responsible for the bookkeeping needs of WestCare assigned regions and corporate activities. Essential Job Functions include those listed below.Essential Job Functions:Accounts Receivable (full cycle) invoice entry, applying payments, collectionsBank account reconciliationBalance sheet accounts reconciliationPrepare and record journal entries with understanding of debits and creditsGeneral ledger review and reportingAdministrative support to ControllerCreate and maintain spreadsheets using Microsoft ExcelMonitor expenses ensuring costs do not exceed contract maximumPrepare reports as needed.Respond to audit requests, corrective actions if necessary.Prepare and make bank deposits.Maintenance of accounts receivable documents.Must Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation; andPerform all other duties as assigned.Essential Qualifications:Strong project management, task management and organizational skills.Strong analytical and assessment skills.Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion and manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesAbility to operate a computer and complete documents in Microsoft Word program formats or the ability to learn.Ability to work well in a team environment.Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality.Professional appearance and demeanor.Must be sensitive to populations served.Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a criminal background clearanceValid drivers license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCares vehicle insurance is required; andCPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test.As mandated by Presidential Order all employees of WestCare Foundation, Inc. and all affiliates of WestCare Foundation, Inc. will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 effective 12/8/2021. Employees that have requested a Medical or Religious Exemption, which has been approved by Human Resources will be required to test for the virus weekly.During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.Education and/or Experience:(2) years of experience keeping or reviewing financial or statistical records.Academic education above the 12th grade may be substituted for one year of the required experience based on either: (a) one year of general education equivalent to one year of work experience or (b) certification from a business or trade school equivalent to one year of work experience.High School Diploma or equivalent is required.Working Conditions:Work is primarily in a professional, business office setting.
