Adherence to procedure and ethical performance of duties is paramount.Essential Job Duties:Role is that of primary point person for the daily financial functions of Interfaith Works to:Demonstrate an ongoing commitment and deep understanding of Interfaith Works overall Mission and the specific philosophies and mission of each program focusReport to and collaborate with IW Administrative DirectorOversee and execute the vital functions listed belowQuickBooks Online system maintenance and improvements - including apps, vendors, customers, classes, and accountsEnter, record, and prepare for approval all expense transactionsManage Accounts ReceivableGenerate service invoicesManage Accounts PayableMaintain all necessary records both hard copy and electronic in accordance with IW policies and proceduresProvide oversight for daily banking needs and activitiesEnter and record all donationsPrepare depositsMaintain donor records and informationTrain with current contracted Director of Administration and eventually assume ADP payroll tax filing, and other assigned dutiesCreate financial reports for management and board members as requestedAssist with grant reportingAssist with grant budget creationAssist with yearly budget creationPursue additional funding streams and prepare systems for additional funding streamsTrain with current contracted fiscal director/IW Director of Administration and eventually assume regular grant billingPrepare monthly reconciliations of accounts for reviewAssist with preparation of year end reports including preparation and sending tax informationAssist with yearly audit processMaintain Positive Staff and Co-worker RelationshipsActively work to build rapport and relationships with coworkers, board members, and faith community membersThoughtfully, thoroughly and quickly respond to staff needs when issues ariseEngage in ongoing learning, cross training and sharing skills that strengthen the organization overall.Be responsive to communication, transparent about your work, and keep staff informed on relevant day-to-day and big picture informationOther Duties as Assigned:Interaction with faith community membership as necessaryInteraction with community members as necessaryCovering office duties including but not limited to responding to walk-ins, answering phones, checking PO Box, depositing checks, etc.Required Educations, Skills and Abilities:Two or more years experience with QuickBooks, accounts payable/accounts receivable, processing payroll, grant billing, creating budgets and reportsExperience or familiarity with a payroll platform (ADP or other time tracking software), Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, Mailchimp, and Social Media platformsExperience or familiarity with generally accepted accounting principlesExperience or familiarity with grants, either public or private or bothExperience of familiarity with other government benefits billing structuresStrong ability to self manage tasks and timelinesStrong ability to communicate needs and pursue informationMaintain a trauma informed atmosphere that is calm, consistent, and predictableUtilize active listening, and communicate honestly in an intimate and supportive office environmentWe expect that all IW employees will have an open and accepting outlook of working with many different types of people, utilizing harm reduction principles for every person we interact with including co-workers, faith community members, other service providers and the wider communityAbility and willingness to contribute to a trans inclusive, trans competent workplaceProvide appropriate and competent community referrals and information when phone calls or drop in's at the office occurDemonstrate the necessary attitudes, knowledge, skills, willingness and self-awareness to deliver culturally humble services and work effectively in multicultural situations. No climbing, balancing, and may be required. Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs maximum weight is required. May need to stand for short periods during filing or document handling.Compensation and Schedule ExpectationsThis position reports to the Director of Administration30-40 hours per week within office hours of 8am - 5pm, Monday-Friday.
