Bookkeeper PositionWe are looking for a skilled bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. Drug screening and employment verifications are required for all our associates.Job ResponsibilitiesRecord day to day financial transactions and complete the posting processVerify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledgerBring the books to the trial balance stagePerform partial checks of the posting processComplete tax formsEnter data, maintain records and lunch reports and financial statementsProcess accounts receivable/payable and handles payroll in a timely mannerJob RequirementsProven bookkeeping experienceSolid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principlesProven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial recordsData entry skills along with a knack for numbersHands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary softwareProficiency in MS OfficeCustomer service orientation and negotiation skillsHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailQuickbooks experience preferredBS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is preferredBenefitsMedical/dental/and vision plansHoliday Pay (6 Days Observed)401(k) Retirement Savings PlanVacation PayLife InsurancePrescription Drug ReimbursementReferral BonusesApplication MethodsComplete an online application at our office at Express Employment Professionals of Columbia is a group of professionals dedicated to helping you find your next career move.
