Learn more about who we are and what we’re building: this role, you will:
Manage monthly accounting and bookkeeping for multiple clients, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules, ensuring accounts are accurate and complete.
Manage month-end close activities and support year-end close for assigned clients.
Prepare and file sales tax returns.
Process payroll, prepare and file payroll tax returns, and assist with payroll-related accounting as needed.
Review client accounts, identify discrepancies, and independently resolve routine accounting issues.
Communicate directly with clients to obtain information, resolve outstanding items, and provide accounting support.
Maintain organized and accurate accounting records across multiple client engagements.
Collaborate with the accounting team to improve workflows, standardize processes, and increase efficiency.
Ensure work is completed in accordance with firm procedures, accounting best practices, and established deadlines.
What We're Looking For:
5+ years of progressive bookkeeping or client accounting experience, preferably in a CPA or public accounting firm environment
Demonstrated experience independently managing the monthly books for multiple clients
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation
Experience with month-end close, sales tax filings, payroll processing, payroll tax filings, and payroll-related accounting
Ability to identify accounting discrepancies and resolve issues with limited supervision
Proven ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and competing priorities
Strong organizational and communication skills, including experience working directly with clients
