We take pride in honoring all Veterans by providing an unparalleled client experience and acting as their reliable partner in navigating complex procedures with skill and efficiency.The Accountant/Bookkeeper will join an important team responsible for the day-to-day accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This person will join a team of professionals working to ensure accounts are accurate and that department processes follow appropriate controls and standards. If you're interested in processing invoices, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable and Payroll this role is for you. In addition, the position will be looked upon to provide timely reports that focus on key financial metrics to aid in strategic business decisions. This is a highly visible position. This position reports to the Assistant Controller with direct interactions with the CFO.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneEssential Duties & Responsibilities:Actively participate with a team to perform accounting activities including accounts receivables, accounts payables, payroll, cash flow management, banking, tax, and auditsAssist in accounts receivable with processing daily invoices/credits, applying cash receiptsAssist in delivering all month-end activities including account reconciliationsAssist in enforcing all financial controls across multiple departments and platformsGather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities)Assist with performing internal auditsMonitor and report on accounting discrepancies and perform variance analysisOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Familiarity with financial statementsExperience in a fast-paced environmentAble to multi-task and prioritize responsibilitiesGood communication skills and able to communicate with peers and leadersExperience with variance analysis and reportingEducation & Experience:1-3 years of previous bookkeeper experience preferred.BA/BS degree in Accounting or equivalent experiencePhysical Requirements & Work Environment:Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Must be available to work weekendsBenefits:401(k) PlanMedical InsurancePaid HolidaysPaid Time offWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer Global TekMed Companies (GTM) is an equal opportunity employer.
