Job description
Bookkeeper Position at H&R BlockJoining H&R Block as an experienced Bookkeeper, you'll deliver exceptional bookkeeping, payroll, and customer service. You'll be an integral part of delivering on our brand purpose to provide help and inspire communities everywhere.What you'll bring to the role:Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgersReconcile and balance accountsGenerate and analyze financial statementsPrepare and process payrollGenerate 1099s and W2s and calculate and prepare tax statementsCommunicate with clients, client suppliers, vendors, and banking contactsAssist in client retention and client growth opportunitiesPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Xero accounting softwareRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentNational bookkeeping and payroll certifications from the National Bookkeeping Association, or the ability to successfully obtain certifications1-3 years of bookkeeping experienceKnowledge of bookkeeping practices and generally accepted accounting principles & proceduresAbility to correctly interpret and apply complete instructions, policies, and regulationsAbility to treat confidential information with professionalism and discretionAnalytical skills and an eye for detailsStrong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and work independentlyWhy work for us:At H&R Block, our purpose is simple: to provide help and inspire confidence in our clients and communities everywhere.
