Job Description Job Description We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team and support our financial operations. In this vital role, you will manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. You must have experience working with USA companies in the USA and must be able to coomunicate in english and spanish.
Responsibilities
Record and reconcile all financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Prepare and post journal entries accurately to reflect financial activities in the general ledger.
Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
Process payroll efficiently while adhering to relevant payroll laws and standards.
Support budgeting activities by analyzing financial data and preparing reports for management review.
Maintain compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other applicable accounting standards.
Assist with month-end closing procedures, including account analysis and general ledger reconciliation.
Generate detailed financial reports, including statements of financial position (balance sheets) and income statements.
Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial records.
Experience
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role, ideally within corporate or non-profit organizations.
Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, or equivalent systems.
Demonstrated knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation techniques.
Familiarity with payroll processing systems and procedures.
Solid understanding of financial concepts including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger accounting, bank reconciliation, and balance sheet management.
Experience working with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data analysis and report writing.
Knowledge of accounting standards such as GAAP to ensure compliance in all financial activities.
Ability to perform technical accounting tasks including account analysis, account reconciliation, and budget monitoring.
Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
