You have a technical accounting background and are looking to broaden your experience and knowledge base by working with a variety of different clients. You make a point to proactively identify roadblocks and pitch in wherever necessary to ensure deadlines are met and clients are satisfied. You get a strong sense of satisfaction from helping clients organize and understand their business, while ensuring all deliverables are met on time and on budget.We are searching for a bookkeeper to join our accounting team. The Bookkeeper is expected to cover a range of responsibilities for clients including but not limited to bookkeeping, processing A/P, AR, payroll, and entering other transactions. This position has a clear path for growth and can be quick launching pad to more senior level positions. Growth depends on technical knowledge, and ability to learn and understand all tasks and processes.Responsibilities:Administers all aspects of A/P and A/R, depositsHandles all inquiries from vendors, clients and employeesAssist with monthly close process and budgetsWorks on special projects, as requestedPerforms month-end journal entriesAssist with audit fieldwork as neededAssist with aspects of payroll as neededSkills and Knowledge:Demonstrates organizational skills with specific attention to meeting deadlinesProficient computer skillsAbility to adapt and learn new software products and applicationsAbility to work independently and use good time management to handle a variety of dutiesAbility to be attentive to detailStrong communication skillsEssential Requirements:1 year of accounting experience or accounting coursework preferredProficient with Microsoft Office productsCompensation and Benefits:Starting at $40,000 ($19.85 per hour).
