Job Description Job Description About the Role: Marine Chemist Service Inc is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper / Office Specialist to join our team in Newport News, VA. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly while supporting the day-to-day functions of a dynamic office environment. Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks, including data entry, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely payments
Prepare and maintain invoices and expense reports
Provide general office support including scheduling, correspondence, and document management
Coordinate with vendors
Monitor office supply inventory purchases
Requirements: Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop) is required
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion
