Boom Truck Operator / Journeyman PipefitterBoom Truck Operator / Journeyman Pipefitter$40hr - $45hr + Per Diem (If Eligible) + Benefits + Career Development OpportunitiesBuild Critical Systems. Whether you're setting pipe runs, performing system installations, executing critical lifts, or coordinating material placement, your work will directly impact project safety, productivity, and success.Working alongside experienced leaders and highly skilled teammates, you'll continue developing both your trade expertise and equipment operating capabilities while contributing to projects that demand precision, craftsmanship, and accountability.This is an opportunity to build your career with a company that values safety, quality, and long-term growth.What You'll DoPerform journeyman-level pipefitting and trade-specific construction work on active job sitesRead drawings, layouts, and specifications to support installation and construction activitiesInstall, modify, repair, and test piping and mechanical systemsPerform welding, rigging, system testing, and related trade responsibilitiesSafely operate a boom truck to support construction and material handling activitiesPerform material picks, lifts, and placements in accordance with approved lift plans and safety requirementsInterpret load charts and apply proper rigging practices during lifting operationsConduct pre-trip inspections, equipment inspections, and maintain required documentationCoordinate with field leadership and crews to support project schedules and productivity goalsPerform layout activities, material takeoffs, equipment start-up, and associated documentationComplete quality control inspections and troubleshoot technical issues as neededMaintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and orderly conditionSupport crew productivity while helping ensure schedules and deadlines are metFollow all OSHA, DOT, customer, site-specific, and RK safety requirementsPerform additional duties as assigned based on project needsWhat You BringJourneyman or Master Journeyman License requiredCurrent NCCCO certification applicable to boom truck and crane operationsDemonstrated experience operating boom trucks in construction or industrial environmentsStrong understanding of load charts, crane signaling, lift planning, and rigging practicesAbility to conduct equipment inspections and maintain operational documentationValid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirementsHigh school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong knowledge of trade tools, equipment, materials, and installation methodsFamiliarity with applicable building codes and industry regulationsStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenExcellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipTechnical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesCommitment to safety, situational awareness, and field execution excellenceWhy Build Your Career at RKBuild meaningful projects.Contribute to complex commercial and industrial projects where your expertise directly impacts project success.Expand your skills.Develop both advanced pipefitting capabilities and specialized equipment operation experience that increase your value and career opportunities.Learn from the best.Work alongside experienced builders, mentors, and field leaders who are invested in your growth and development.Advance your career.Take advantage of RK University, accredited apprenticeship programs, leadership development, and technical training opportunities.Build for the long term.Join a second-generation, family-owned company with the stability, resources, and opportunities to support a rewarding career.About RK IndustriesRK Industries is a second-generation family-owned company led by brothers Rick and Jon Kinning.
