Brake Press Operator – Class BLocation: American Products Shift: Tuesday - Friday: 5:30am-3:30pm Pay: 19-20/hrAbout the RoleWe're hiring a Class B Brake Press Operator to support our metal fabrication team. In this role, you'll operate brake press equipment to bend, shape, and form metal parts according to production specifications. This position is ideal for someone with basic mechanical aptitude who wants to grow their skills and advance within the department.What You'll DoOperate brake press machines to bend and form metal partsLoad/unload materials and ensure proper alignmentInspect parts for accuracy, quality, and specification compliancePerform routine machine maintenance and report issuesFollow all safety procedures and use required PPEDocument production details and material usageCollaborate with team members to meet goals and deadlinesWhat You NeedEducationHigh School Diploma or GED preferred (not required)Experience & KnowledgeBasic mechanical aptitudeUnderstanding of brake press operations preferredAbility to read blueprints/work orders (training provided)Strong attention to detailBasic math skills helpful but not requiredWillingness to learn, adapt, and growKey SkillsDependability — consistent attendance requiredAbility to problem-solve and troubleshootStrong teamwork and communication skillsProfessional interactions with coworkers and supervisorsCommitment to quality and continuous improvementPhysical RequirementsStand/walk for extended periodsUse hands/arms to handle materialsLift up to 50 lbsVision requirements: close, distance, color, and depth perceptionAdditional InfoThis description outlines the core functions of the Class B operator role but may evolve based on business needs.
