Job description
Press Brake OperatorSets-up and operates press brake to form various sizes, shapes, and types of sheet metal parts as specified by part blueprints to meet quality and production standards.Essential Duties:Reads blueprints and production orders.Accurately uses a square, rule and protractor.Retrieves own parts and dies.Completes own setups; choosing and setting gauges.Verifies print to latest engineering revision and then verifies part is made to print specifications.Inspects part for any nonconformities including those of a cosmetic nature (i.e. scratches, dents, deformities).Arranges completed parts in an orderly fashion and moves finished parts to holding area.Keeps appropriate production records.Other Duties:Services press brake as required and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.Maintains cleanliness of work area and follows safe work practice rules.Performs other miscellaneous duties as required.Physical Demands:Manual Dexterity: Work requires moderate speed and accuracy.Physical Effort: Work requires mostly moderate but some heavy muscular effort or difficult work positions.Working Conditions: More frequent exposure to disagreeable features.Hazards: Injury may require a doctor's care. Time lost for part of a day may be to receive medical treatment.
