Join a growing team that values hard work, craftsmanship, and opportunities for advancement.Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!Brake Press Operator Details:Temp-to-Hire position$ 20.00 to $ 26.00 / hourFull Time work availableVarious shifts available (Monday through Friday)Set up, program, and operate brake press machinery to bend, form, and shape metal components according to blueprints and specifications.Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, protractors, and other precision measuring instruments.Troubleshoot machine and programming issues to ensure production quality and minimize downtime.Verify completed parts meet customer and engineering requirements.Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by reducing setup times and increasing production efficiency.Safely handle materials and complete forklift (hi-lo) training as required.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Brake Press Operator Qualifications:Previous Brake Press Operator experience is requiredExperience setting up, programming, and operating brake press equipmentAbility to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsExperience using precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and protractorsStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentCommitment to quality, safety, and productivityApplicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
