Machinist Set Up OperatorQPS Employment Group is hiring a Machinist Set Up Operator for a company in Franklin, WI. This is a direct hire opportunity.Machinist Set Up Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Set up and operate CNC and manual machines, including milling, drilling, grinding, and related equipmentRead and interpret blueprints, work orders, and machining instructions to determine specifications and tooling requirementsInstall, align, and secure tools, fixtures, and workpieces using appropriate measuring instrumentsMonitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiencyInspect finished parts using gauges, calipers, and micrometers to verify conformance to specificationsPerform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on machines, tools, and fixturesFabricate, modify, or repair tooling, dies, and machine components as neededMaintain accurate records of setups, tool conditions, and maintenance activitiesMonitor and manage tool room inventory, including cutting tools and spare partsAssist with installation of new equipment or repaired componentsSupport preventive and corrective maintenance activities in collaboration with maintenance teamsMaintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S standardsFollow all company safety policies and procedures at all timesPerform other duties as assignedMachinist Set Up Operator Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical diploma in machining, tool and die, or related field preferred2-3 years of experience in machining, setup, or tool room environmentExperience with CNC machines and tool setupStrong understanding of machining processes and toolingAbility to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentsProficiency using precision measuring instrumentsHigh attention to detail and accuracyStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEffective communication skillsFlexibility to adapt to changing prioritiesAbility to lift up to 40 poundsProlonged standing, bending, and manual workGood hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityIND010 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
