nGENERAL SUMMARY: At UFC Gym, the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Coach is responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience. Coaches are responsible for delivering great member service, Private and Small Group Training and achieving revenue. This position requires a minimum of one day on the weekend.
nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
nSales Execution on Key Metrics.
nSell and Conduct Private & Small Group Training with Members.
nAssist members and encourage member involvement in private training.
nEnsure accurate administration of client programs, measurement tracking and workout programs. Arrive on time, prepared and attentive for training appointments.
nAssist in all revenue generating activities, including but not limited to: complimentary workouts, seminars, workshops, etc.
nResponsible for achieving revenue objectives set forth by UFC Gym.
nMember Experience
nFocus on changing lives through Service, Science and Sales.
nBe a brand ambassador of UFC Gym and its “Train Different” philosophy.
nBring T.R.A.I.N (Timely, Ready, Aware, Inspiring, Noble) to life.
nConduct safe and effective private Mixed Martial Arts training sessions.
nMaintain the organization and neat presentation of the fitness floor and training spaces at all times.
nMiscellaneous
nFollow all policies and procedures regarding payment transactions.
nFollow all guidelines in the UFC Gym Employee Handbook.
nDocument daily workouts for liability with adherence to national certification standards.
nBe knowledgeable of club facility and services.
nAdhere to agree upon schedule set forth by the Mixed Martial Arts Manager.
nORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS: The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Coach will report directly to the Mixed Martial Arts Manager. Duties require interaction with all club members and employees.
nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
nKnowledge,skills & abilities:
nIn depth knowledge of Private Training techniques from assessment to program design.
nPossess a working knowledge of the dotFIT program and software.
nKnowledge of company policies, practices and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures.
nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.
nAble to generate, maintain and demonstrate a friendly, enthusiastic and positive attitude.
nPossess a strong customer service focus. Responds professionally to requests and inquiries from guests, members and staff.
nUnderstands and follow oral and written instructions.
nCommunicates clearly and concisely.
nPossesses strong organizational skills. Understands basic record keeping practices and procedures. Demonstrates the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
nExperience operating office equipment such as computers, calculators, fax and photocopiers.
nMust be computer proficient with basic skills in Word and Excel.
nAbility to work, setup and execute successful weekends.
nExtroverted/Self motivator/Customer service minded.
nAdhere to meal and rest break periods and must clock in and out for all shift times.
nRequired Experience:
nMinimum of Purple belt or higher.
nBrazilian Jiu-Jitsu Belt Certificate.
nBrazilian Jiu-Jitsu Coach lineage verification.
nGrappling tournament record (preferred).
nCurrent Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification.
nCurrent DotFIT certification (preferred).
nMinimum 1 year of related teaching experience.
nPhysical Requirements:
nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand.
nPhysical effort required for daily duties include lifting heavy weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting & prolonged standing and walking. Must be able to frequently lift and /or moves up to 45+ pounds.
