Brazing / Sub-Assembly TechnicianKelly Services is hiring a Brazing / Sub-Assembly Technician for a manufacturing opportunity in Taunton, MA.This role is a great fit for someone with hands-on experience in brazing, silver soldering, sheet metal, plumbing, auto body work, or metal fabrication who is comfortable working with an open-flame torch and assembling metal components.The primary skill needed is Braze / Silver Solder, working with temperatures of approximately 800–1,200°F.Job DetailsLocation: Taunton, MA Shift: 1st Shift Hours: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM Pay: $23–$24/hourWhat You'll Be DoingAs a Brazing / Sub-Assembly Technician, you'll support manufacturing by joining and assembling metal components using brazing and silver-soldering techniques.Responsibilities may include:Perform braze and silver-solder operations using an open-flame propane torchWork at temperatures generally ranging from 800–1,200°FAssemble and join metal components according to production requirementsHeat components evenly to achieve proper material flow and strong jointsPrepare metal surfaces prior to brazing, including cleaning and positioning componentsApply appropriate brazing or silver-solder material to jointsInspect completed joints for proper bonding, coverage, and workmanshipFollow work instructions, drawings, specifications, and production proceduresUse hand tools and basic metalworking equipmentMaintain an organized and safe workstationFollow all PPE, fire-safety, and manufacturing safety requirementsSupport other sub-assembly and production activities as neededWhat We're Looking ForIdeal candidates will have experience with one or more of the following:BrazingSilver solderingTorch solderingSheet metal fabricationPlumbingAuto body repairMetalworkingMechanical assemblyWelding or higher-temperature joining processesCandidates with experience at a higher skill level, such as bronze brazing or torch welding, may also be considered.Brazing Experience We NeedThe primary requirement for this position is:Braze / Silver SolderOpen-torch soldering using a propane torchTypical temperatures of approximately 800–1,200°FUsed for joining metal components and sub-assembliesExperience with basic lead soldering alone may not be enough unless you also have exposure to higher-temperature brazing.Additional Skills That Can Be HelpfulSheet metal experiencePlumbing experienceAuto body or collision repairMetal fabricationMechanical assemblyHand and power toolsReading basic drawings or work instructionsQuality inspectionManufacturing or production experienceStrong attention to detailGood hand-eye coordinationReady to Put Your Brazing Skills to Work?If you have experience with silver soldering, brazing, sheet metal, plumbing, auto body work, or metal fabrication, we'd like to hear from you.Apply today with Kelly Services for this 1st-shift Brazing / Sub-Assembly Technician opportunity in Taunton, MA.
