Job description
Wellstar is seeking a Breast Sonographer to provide high-quality, patient-centered breast imaging services within our collaborative, not-for-profit health system. The Breast Sonographer performs diagnostic breast ultrasounds and assists with image-guided procedures, ensuring accurate imaging that supports early detection and optimal treatment planning. Responsibilities include verifying patient history and orders, explaining procedures, optimizing imaging techniques, documenting findings in clinical systems, and maintaining equipment and exam rooms to the highest safety and quality standards. The role demands compassionate communication, cultural sensitivity, and close collaboration with radiologists, nurses, and technologists.
