Job description
Wellstar is seeking a Breast Sonographer to provide high-quality breast ultrasound imaging in a compassionate, patient-centered environment. The Breast Sonographer performs diagnostic and interventional breast and axillary ultrasound exams, supports biopsies and image-guided procedures, and collaborates closely with radiologists and multidisciplinary care teams. Responsibilities include verifying patient identity, obtaining clinical history, optimizing images, documenting findings, and maintaining equipment. The role upholds strict safety and infection control standards while contributing to quality improvement and continuous learning within Wellstar’s innovative, community-focused health system.
