Bridge Maintenance TechnicianRoy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Bridge Maintenance Technicians to perform maintenance operations in the Porter, Texas area, specifically on IH-45. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, inspections, bridge and concrete repair, and structure maintenance, etc. as well as adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures. Travel Requirements: 75% of the time, overnight travel.Required Experience:Minimum 1 year of experience in construction industryMinimum 1 year of related experience in bridge, structure construction, concrete form/placement, and repair workRoadway or tollway maintenance experienceMust pass criminal background checkPreferred Experience:Must be able to work with computer and smart phone applicationsMOT Certifications (traffic control)Clean driving record is essentialCDL A License a plusQualifications:High School Diploma/GEDMaintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)Must have organizational and presentation skillsKnowledge of local driving rules and regulationsCarry out simple arithmetic functionsMaintain proper safety equipment required for each jobKnowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technologyAbility to use smart phone and applicationsAbility to adjust to changing work schedule and multi-taskAbility to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditionsCapable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; other strenuous manual labor may be requiredAbility to operate hand/power toolsSchedule: Full time; Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm, with some night and weekend work if needed.
