Job description
Queen Community House's Friendly Visiting Program matches homebound older adults with volunteers in their community. The program also aims to reduce isolation and loneliness amongst seniors in our neighborhoods and communities. Friendly visitors must be 18 and over, open to committing to 6 months of volunteerism, provide 2 non-familial references and consent a background check.
Friendly visiting is an enriching opportunity for the volunteer to develop a meaningful friendship. Together, the older adult and volunteer can discuss shared interests, learn/teach new skills, read books, learn technology, play board games and much more!
