Urology Physician Assistant Opportunity
Bronx | Outpatient Focus | Flexible Schedule
The Physician Assistant will work collaboratively with Urologists to provide comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of urologic conditions. This role offers strong physician support and exposure to both clinical and procedural aspects of urology.
The responsibilities include performing initial and follow-up evaluations for urology patients, obtaining detailed histories, conducting physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing, assisting with minor office-based procedures, first-assist in surgical procedures, providing patient education, collaborating closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, documenting all encounters accurately and timely in the EMR, participating in inpatient rounding or consults if applicable, prescribing medications in accordance with state regulations, and supporting quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives.
Requirements include post-training urology or surgical experience, minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience in urology or a surgical specialty preferred, DEA registration and prescriptive authority, and BLS and ACLS certifications required.
The practice uses eClinicalWorks EMR, is a large, well-established multispecialty group with over 140 physicians and 100+ APPs across the organization, and has multiple office locations throughout the Bronx and Greater NYC area.
Compensation range is $135,000–$150,000 with a comprehensive benefits package and stable employment with long-term growth opportunities.
