Brush And Roll PainterMain Industries has been serving the marine and industrial market for over 40 years. Beginning as a premiere marine coatings company, Main has grown into a multi-craft industry leader in marine and industrial scaffolding and access in addition to its decades of experience in surface prep and coatings.Main is hiring for full-time marine and industrial brush and roll painters. No relocation or per diem available.A brush and roll painter applies the specified coating system via hand brush and paint rollers. The primary responsibilities of the brush and roller are to touch up coatings applied by a spray painter, apply a stripe coat by brush and roller and/or apply a full coatings system, with a brush and roller, to small, tight or hard to spray areas. Brush and rollers often times are responsible for hand tool cleaning and/or power tool surface preparation using small hand held pneumatic or electric tools. Various cleaning duties using solvent wiping, industrial vacuuming, or pressure washing are other common responsibilities of the brush and roller.Note: No phone calls regarding position details or application status. All inquiries by email.Job Type: Full-time, hourlyRequired experience: Six months' experience as a brush and roll painter.Must be 18 years' oldExperience working in a physically demanding environment; confined spaces, working at heightsBe respirator fit tested and trained in respiratory safety per OSHA standardsForklift training/certification a plus (additional training will be required once hired for those using a forklift)Aerial man lift training/certification a plus (additional training will be required once hired for those using an aerial man lift)Understand and carry out verbal directions given by supervisorUnderstand and obey all posted warning, caution, notification and/or hazards signs posted on a job siteAll candidates must submit to drug testing and E-Verification of their right to work in the USA criminal background check may be requiredCurrent TWIC badge a plusReliable transportation a mustNo overtime is guaranteed, but some projects do require overtime. This could be more than 40 hours during the normal Monday Friday work week, work on the weekends or both. Some projects do have a night shift.
