Job description
Bucket OperatorThe Bucket Operator effectively and safely operates a bucket truck to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines. Valid driver's license is required.Essential FunctionsAlways follow and help enforce safe practices and rules.Assist in preparing equipment and materials for each day's work at Foreperson's direction.Operate equipment as directed by Foreperson.Help maintain and repair equipment and tools used in operations.Assist other crew members in all aspects of daily activities and take a leadership role when required.Cleans up and disposes of all debris.Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers, etc. to protect employees and public.Keeps informed on new equipment, specifications, standard practices, operating procedures, and customer and company employee relations policies and practicesTrack and report mileage to ForepersonPerform duties for storm work as neededPerforms daily reporting using AMS system to submit timesheets and billing information.Maintain above standard customer relations.Accident Reporting.Supervisory Responsibilities Bucket Operator w/ CDL have no direct reports.Experience RequirementsTwo years' experience in Vegetation Management.Bucket truck operation experience required.Knowledge of daily maintenance and safe operations of all equipment used.Able to hear verbal instructions from a distance.Must have a driver's license with a clean driving record.Must have skid steer w/ mulcher operation experience.Experience in safe operations and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.Must have experience operating woodchipper.Split dump driving experience preferred.This is a safety sensitive position that requires employee to be able to pass a background check and drug screen as required for this job.Work Authorization Requirements Must meet I-9 requirements.
