Job description
Title: Critical Environments Operator IV – Night Shift & Day Shift
Location: Onsite at one of the following locations:
43294 Old Ox Rd Sterling, VA 20166
2811 International Drive Sterling, VA 20166
21529 Beaumeade Cr Ashburn, VA 20147 – Night Shift preferred
Duration: Direct Hire
Pay: $51-$61/hr
Shift differential pay: 6pm-6am - 15% extra.
OT: yes 1.5x
Bonus : 5% annual target bonus. (2.5% company performance, 2.5% individual performance)
Start date: ASAP
Training: M-F 8am – 5pm.
Hours/Shift Schedule: Sun – Wed (every other Wed) OR Wed – Sat (every other Wed)
Day shift: 5:30am to 6pm
Night Shift: 6pm to 5:30am
Must Haves:
HS Diploma
3+ years of data center experience
5-10+ years of critical environment or building engineering experience
Experience in operations, maintenance and/or building engineering
Experience using SOPS/MOPS/EOP’s/MMRs
Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and critical infrastructure systems.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Plusses:
Navy Nuclear experience
Experience with Visio, AutoCAD
Day to day:
A leading global data center provider supporting mission-critical customer environments. This role is responsible for maintaining the reliability of critical infrastructure systems in a 24/7/365 data center environment while leading a small shift team of 1–4 technicians.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate 1–4 technicians during an assigned shift, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Support the operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, cooling, life safety, and critical power systems.
Monitor and respond to facility alarms, prioritizing uptime and protection of the critical load.
Utilize CMMS to track preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, work orders, inspections, and labor activities.
Execute and follow SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, MMRs, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to complete maintenance and project work safely.
Serve as a customer-facing point of contact for colocation clients and maintain accurate operational documentation.
Support equipment switching, operational improvements, root cause investigations, and infrastructure projects.
