Job description
Facilities Maintenance TechnicianThis position will be responsible for maintaining the facilities and grounds; keeping them in a safe and working order. Responsibilities include:Fixing facility plumbing (faucets, toilet, urinals and drains)Fixing facility roof leaksPaintingDry walling repairs and ceiling repairsReading the meters dailyFixing outside lightingInstalling flooringInspecting emergency lighting monthlyInspecting fire extinguishers monthlyRemoving snow and spreading saltWeeding and mulching flower bedsMowing the lawnAny additional items as assigned by managerPrinciple Contacts: Inside/Outside the CompanyThis position will be interacting with other maintenance personnel, manufacturing engineers, management, and other company employees.Competency or Position Requirements:Must be trustworthy and maintain the security of the facilityMust be an effective communicatorDetail orientedAbility to follow instructions, work well with others and also aloneDriver's LicenseAll Armor employees are also expected to demonstrate Armor's core values of being:Customer FocusedPassionate about WorkSolution OrientedDriven by IntegrityEducation and/or Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent is required2 years of experience in a related tradeAny Building and Grounds Certificates are preferredEquipment Used:This position will use a forklift, scissor lifts, zero turn, snow plow, chain saw, and power tools.Working and Physical Conditions:This position will be indoor and outdoor work and will require lifting, sitting, climbing, walking and bending on a regular basis.
