Job Description:

We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our facility running smoothly and safely. In this role, you'll perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and complete repairs on building systems like HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. You'll also help with general building upkeep, work with outside contractors when needed, and respond to day-to-day maintenance requests.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and taking pride in maintaining a safe and efficient facility. This will start as a temporary position and have possibility for conversion to permanent employment after 3 months. No direct experience is needed for this role.

What You'll Do

Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems

Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot equipment issues

Complete general facility repairs and upkeep

Inspect equipment and identify needed repairs

Coordinate with contractors and vendors as needed

Maintain maintenance logs and repair records

Assist with interior painting and minor plaster repairs

Support seasonal snow and ice removal efforts

Follow safety policies and procedures

What We're Looking For

No direct experience needed

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Good communication and customer service skills

Ability to lift heavy objects and work in varying weather conditions

Commitment to safety and quality work

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a commercial, manufacturing, or healthcare facility

Familiarity with dock equipment, overhead doors, and lighting systems

Interior painting and plaster repair experience

Experience working with outside contractors or vendors

Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs

Experience with maintenance tracking software (CMMS)

Multi-trade experience across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance
