Security OfficerA professional basketball team and state-of-the-art arena/entertainment venue that specializes in creating memorable experiences for each guest we interact with. This vital role is not just about ensuring safety; it's about creating a secure and comfortable environment for everyone who enters our premises. As a Security Officer, you will be the frontline in protecting our property, employees, and visitors.Responsibilities/Duties:Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of company policies and proceduresPatrol interior and exterior areas to identify and report irregularities or potential security risksMonitor and operate CCTV cameras, access control systems, and fire safety equipmentLock and unlock designated areas in accordance with scheduling or requestsRespond promptly to incidents and complete detailed, accurate reportsOversee the shipping and receiving process for packages, ensuring proper documentation and controlFoster a safe and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and guestsConduct personnel, bag, and package searches as needed to maintain security protocolsManage and monitor access for employees and visitors, ensuring proper credentials are usedAttend departmental in-service training sessions to stay updated on procedures and best practicesMaintain security equipment through routine checks, upkeep, and scheduled maintenancePerform additional duties as assigned by supervisor, in compliance with laws and company policyQualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalent requiredMinimum of two (2) years of relevant security experienceAbility to pass a clear criminal background and MVR checkMust have a valid Georgia driver's licenseStrong verbal and written communication skillsHigh level of attention to detail and a professional demeanorAbility to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods as requiredBasic proficiency in computer usage and security systemsFlexible availability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hoursPhysically capable of operating all security equipment and maintaining annual First Aid CertificationMust successfully pass annual written assessments on security policies and proceduresThis position may require operating a company vehicle or driving as part of regular job duties.
