Job description
Building SecurityThis Building Security position is committed to providing world class service for all Donald L. Tucker Civic Center arena events. The Building Security position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security for all events. Special security assignments may be available during non-event days/nights. The security team is a provider of direct service to our guests and must exhibit a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.50Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.Evergreen role: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline.ResponsibilitiesSecures building by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance cameras; inspecting building, equipment, and access pointsPrevents losses and damages by reporting irregularities in cooler temperatures, and HVAC equipmentRespond to requests for assistance from DLTCC staff and visitors for a variety of security issues (fire, medical emergencies, etc.)Performs all event and non-event security duties as assignedConducts building safety inspections (Normally pre-event and post event safety checks)Protects Arena equipment, materials and structures throughout the work schedule.Provides regular security functions within the Arena and related areas, prior to, during and after all events.Responsible for clean, neat appearance with complete DLTCC Security Uniform.Receives, records, and returns all lost and found items according to established team procedures.May be asked to work live events; assist with securing specific positions and rooms, check for appropriate identification, escort guests and perform other event related activities.Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of Events, Event Managers and/or Guest Service Coordinator.QualificationsPrior security experience preferred, but not required.Able to work overnight hours as assigned.High school diploma or equivalent required.Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language requiredAbility to work beyond traditional business hours, including nights, weekends and select holidays, is requiredMust demonstrate strong attention to detailMust have earned or have the ability to earn valid CPR certificationMust demonstrate a positive, professional and customer-focused attitude
