Job description
Bus MonitorUnder moderate supervision, the selected candidate will perform duties that involve maintaining order on the bus while students are being transported, including, but not limited to:Monitoring behavior of children on the bus so the driver will not be distracted from safe drivingEnsuring the safety of children while entering, riding, and departing the busEstablishing good working relationships with children, parents, bus driver, and other staffCommunicating with classroom aides, teachers, principals, and parents concerning student behavior as appropriateMaintaining regular attendancePerforming other duties as assignedThis position starts and ends at Propel McKeesport to monitor the afternoon bus.
