Bus Monitor - Salem YMCAThe Salem YMCA is seeking a Bus Monitor to ensure the safe and positive transportation of children from Salem Public Schools to YMCA programs. This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with kids and being part of a supportive team.Schedule & Location:Position leaves from the Salem Public School bus depot.Monitor trips from schools to the YMCA bus stop and ride back to the depot.Program runs from 1:30 pm to 4 pm, Monday - FridayResponsibilities:Supervise children on the bus, ensuring safety and positive behavior.Assist with boarding and exiting.Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports.Keep the bus clean and support compliance with YMCA and EEC transportation policies.Communicate with staff, families, and school partners as needed.Qualifications:Must be at least 21 years old with a High School Diploma or GEDCurrent CPR, AED, and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire)Ability to enter and exit the bus repeatedly and assist children as neededStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people across the communityPrior experience working with children preferredJoin us for meaningful work, growth opportunities, and the chance to make an impact every day!The YMCA is committed to a policy of nondiscrimination and equal opportunity for all employees and qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religious creed, protected genetic information, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, or veteran's status.
